1 out of 5 stars G3 phone needs better batteries!!!   July 25, 2008

A cell phone/browser/etc. needs to have more charging power than 1/2 to 1 day! The charger works just fine, but by design, then iPhone G3 simply has a cheap battery system compared to the Blackberry and other multi-use devices.

If Apple fixes the battery problem I might consider giving it a better rating. In the mean time, It's really not the charger's fault, although the charger doesn't fix the problem that with regular use the iPhone simply doesn't have high enough quality batteries (nor enough power) to be workable for those who really use the thing.

Simply put, Apple needs to fix the power issue! If I wanted a phone that needs to be plugged in all the time, I'd have bought a regular cell w/ bluetooth & a Sirius receiver for my car... Yikes!

The multi-use phone/net/etc. devices up and coming from other manufacturers seem to be very promising & have other features that aren't new, such as voice commands (like newer cars have - even for GPS devices.)

The phone simply isn't worth the money (there are others out there that do just as much that you can get for free with the right plan and the battery life is much better too!)
