Stylishly industrial, the Sanus Systems PFFP2B flat panel television stand securely holds your LCD or plasma television in place while also allowing it to tilt up and down for optimal viewing angles. It has a VESA compatible mounting bracket at the top that will accommodate the VESA 50, 75, 100, 200mm x 200mm and 200mm x 100mm mounting hole patterns. Once the TV is secured to the bracket, you can adjust the TV's angle by 12 degrees either up or down. The mounting bracket can hold TVs weighing up to 130 pounds (screens from 30 to 50 inches). It features two adjustable, tempered glass shelves. With the TV bracket mounted in the highest position, you can move the adjustable shelves up and down within a range of approximately 2.5 feet. The top shelf measures 24.25 x 16.5 inches and the middle shelf measures 30.25 x 16.5 inches, and each can hold up to 50 pounds. The base shelf measures 43.25 x 23.5 inches for a steady footing.  A Stunning Piece of Furniture August 27, 2008
We purchased this Sanus TV stand over a year ago and we still get compliments on it! Most people still don't realize that stands like this are available (they always assume that you have to hang a flat-screen on the wall or get a low piece of furniture to stand it on).
I bought a different though similar stand locally and was completely unimpressed with the quality. I couldn't tighten the mounting bolts on the shelf enough to hold our A/V components (the shelves leaned forward at about a 20-degree angle). That unit was returned and we bought the Sanus here at Amazon.
The Sanus is stand is well-built and very sturdy. I was concerned at first that the glass shelves wouldn't be strong enough. Our NAD T753 receiver weighs ~50 pounds and the shelf barely moved when I placed it there.
The stand is very heavy...make sure you have the delivery guy(s) put it in the room that you're going to use it in. Overall, the stand is very easy to put together. One tricky part is getting the vertical spacing on the shelves correct from the standpoint of placing/removing/placing heavy components while you check clearances.
The only downside to this stand that I could find was mentioned in other reviews: it's difficult to snake cables and wires through the column.
This unit is highly recommended!

looks really nice though I didnt know it was going to be as wide as my 42" tv.
Not that hard to put together.
Love the fact that not cables are hanging around.
Would like it to be a little higher...

I bought 2 units for a dealer show. One unit for a 37" and one unit for a 47" Philips HD LCD. The design allowed the stand to work well with both TV's. Assembly was easy and many of my customers complimented the nice stand.

Do yourself a favor and buy this stand. In my opinion this is the most perfect flat panel stand you can currently buy on the market. When it arrived it was extremely easy to put together and the overall quality of the assembled product matches it's great looks. It effortlessly holds a Denon receiver, cable box, dvd and blu ray player, xbox 360, center channel speaker, and a voltage regulator and looks fantastic while doing so...
