Amazon.com Product Description These super-light, ear-bud headphones weigh a mere five grams (.18 ounces.) They are the perfect headphone for those who relish lightweight, quality headphones. The silent cap confines the music to the listener's ear and away from those in the immediate area, a plus for those using the headphones in the coffee shop or library. The earphones are also open-air, meaning they allow ambient noises to enter the ear; this translates to a safer headphones, as the listener will be aware of horns, whistles and shouts. These headphones are constructed of an anti-bacterial material for a cleaner listening experience. The MDR-ED21LP's deliver a quality sound, even with their small size. The groove design and Bass Booster earpiece shape allows for a better fit; additionally, this system creates more bass response than conventional earpiece designs. The headphones use sixteen millimeter drive units for a deep bass and clear treble. Sony also uses neodymium magnets which provide more energy per ounce than other conventional magnets. The PET diaphragm gives the headphones a high rigidity for minimum distortion. Finally, Sony's Acoustic Twin Turbo circuit achieves high sonic output by utilizying sound chamber and duct technology. The cord is one meter long (3.3 feet) for ample range of movement. The housing is a modern, hi-tech, black and silver metallic finish. The compact carrying pouch stores the ear-buds and cord when not needed; its small size fits nicely in a purse or back pocket. Pretty good November 23, 2008 The delivery was decently fast and was packed well. The headphones themselves are good. They produce great sound and are comfortable. The only problem I have with them is that you have to situated them in your ear in a certain way otherwise the sound wont get through.
Better than expected November 23, 2008 I've had these for several months, and that really surprises me. The wires are thin. They feel so delicate that I'm constantly living in fear that I'll break them. Yet they still haven't snapped, so perhaps they're made better than I'd thought. Sound quality is great for the price (I paid $16). And they fit my ears perfectly.
Sound great, but fit is not so good. November 13, 2008 I bought a couple pairs of these and to be honest, I have not used them that much. But when I did, they were a bit uncomfortable for my ear. The sound was great though.
Great headphones November 2, 2008 These are great headphones, but they fit strangely in your ears. I can barely keep them in when i'm walking with them. Otherwise they are amazing sounding.
Uncomfortable fit November 2, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
You get what you pay for. Don't get these earphones unless you try them first. I haven't found a person who feels their comfortable in their ears. Sound quality is pretty good, but not nearly has good as high quality earphones like shure & zen earphones.
