Worst Electronic Item I Own June 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've owned this clock for over 2 years, and the nicest thing I can say about it is that it still works. The display is so bright that I actually have to cover it using a CD jewel case. The alarm volume isn't adjustable, so it blasts at FULL VOLUME when I've chosen the CD to wake me, which is why I bought it. And, on top of it, sometimes the buttons don't do what they're supposed to, so I'll try to turn on the alarm, and I'll actually turn it off. Don't buy this product- huge disappointment.
Hard to find super micro size and good sound May 14, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have had this item for about a year now and love it. If you search around you will find that there are not many choices for super small and thin that play CDs and have an alarm. I did not want a huge piece of EQ in my boys room and did not want tons of wires or need massive sound. This item is just perfect and looks great. I also love the soft blue LCD display. This is not the greatest sound out there, but about the smallest you can get that still sounds great.
Poor quality, no support December 28, 2007 The CD player wouldn't work straight out of the box. Memorex tried to blame it on my CDs. I told them the CDs worked on all my other players. Then they said it would cost $7.50 to repair, even though it was brand new. I'd have to ship it, at my cost, with a check for $7.50 to cover the FREE warranty repair. The support was so bad that I won't buy another Memorex electronic product. (I'll still buy blank media.)
The display IS very bright, but I don't mind that at all. The radio is fine, but nothing special.
Nice looking unit, Light too bright, & CD player volume weird July 18, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have this CD/Clock, but didn't buy it from Amazon.
It's a nice looking unit, and I do like it, however, I have to say that the light on this radio is a little too bright for me, eventhough it is set on dim (yes, there are 2 levels of brightness). Great as a nightlight if you need one in the room.
As for the CD player, I did notice that the volume disappeared when I had it set at maximum when I played a CD. I am not sure if this is a function that is purposely built into the system. However, to "fix" this little problem, you would have to lower the volume all the way to zero, and then increase it.
Not really worth it April 12, 2006 I have this item though it was not purchased on amazon. Anyway, after my third or so attempt at using the cd player function, the cd player absolutely quit working. I kept getting some kind of error message in the display, but in fact there was nothing wrong with the disc or the way it was loaded. I tried the cd player again months later with a different disc and got the same results. I've long since stopped using it for the cd feature. I think it's a problem with the upright positioning of the cd player. It's alright if you just want a mod-looking radio or alarm clock.
