Pretty Good for Price October 10, 2008 I was thinking about buying an expensive alarm clock with an iPod dock, but went with this because it has a plug in jack (FYI: cord is not included.) The sound quality is not bad, especially for the price.
The screen is large and easy to read. The dimmer function works well, but one more notch lower would make it perfect.
Make sure you READ and KEEP the instruction manual!! The buttons are easy to navigate, but sometimes they stick and you have to press them in just the right spot.
Bur another clock... ANY other clock! October 6, 2008 Alright. I admit that I am probably too picky, but honestly if a product tells me on the box that it sets itself automatically, then I expect to bring the darned thing home and have it do so as soon as I plug it in. Sadly, this is not what happens. I plug it in and it just flashes 12:00 at me like any other alarm clock. I have replace the batteries countless times, and read the instructions and web sites until I am cross-eyed. I have even returned it for another unit!!! (yes, it would appear that I am a glutton for punishment, but my wife likes it for some reason) This is the sort of product that makes people associate a company with really crummy products. I know *I* do...
I bought an Emmerson Research clock radio a few years ago, and it actually *does* set itself, and I really think it is completely bullet proof. Go buy one of those, or *anything* but this piece of junk!
Finally found a decent alarm clock September 19, 2008 After killing my past alarm clock (which was as basic as you could get - no radio or other functions, just a nice LOUD alarm with programmable snooze), I tried 3 or 4 different alarm clocks from the local drug store and all of them were awful. Most were very easy to sleep through even with the buzzer on high, and none had a snooze time of less than 10 minutes. I read some reviews and ordered this clock after reviews confirmed it had the two features that I had to have - a loud alarm and programmable snooze.
This alarm works great. The buzzer gradually builds up and becomes very loud. The snooze is programmable, I like mine right at 5 minutes. I haven't used the radio alarm, and don't plan to, so I haven't experienced the radio station appearing instead of the time when the alarm goes off. The nap feature is nice as well, and I haven't had any trouble turning any of the alarms on or off as mentioned in other reviews.
Fair value for the money August 8, 2008 This is an overexaggerated alarm clock. It works extemely well as an alarm clock. You get what you pay for.
Great little clock radio July 8, 2008 This great little clock radio sets itself to the right time when you plug it in. The digital readout makes it easy to tune to your station. It has very good reception and doesn't need an antenna. It is really small and light. It takes up very little space and you can tuck it in a corner of your suitcase when you travel.
