Great deal for the price October 7, 2008 This item was exactly what my wife wanted for her birthday. Her old iPod alarm clock was conveniently thrown in the street after we could never figure how to turn the thing off. The iHome is perfect!
Progressive wake up has changed my life October 3, 2008 There is nothing better than an alarm clock that goes from off to blaring in a slooooow fashion. It almost feels like you're waking up naturally BEFORE the alarm goes off. Of course, that's not true, but comparing that to be jolted out of a deep sleep by the kind of volume one needs to wake up... I'm a changed man. Also, the clock allows you to wake up to a custom iPod list. And, it has weekday alarms that never need be changed. And it has two alarms. It's fantastic. The only downside? The sound isn't amazing. It won't be replacing any other speakers anytime soon, but it gets the job -- waking me up without inducing violence -- done.
Nice features October 3, 2008 This is a nice clock that gives lots of choices. You can choose to wake up to a buzzer, the radio or your ipod... as well as having 2 separate alarms that you can set to go off Mon-Fri, Sat & Sun or all 7 days of the week. You can peronalize the length of snooze. It produces good sound and charges the ipod pretty quickly. The bad thing is that the background of the screen is lighted and the numbers are dark so it is pretty bright... even when using the dimmer it is still annoying if you are sensitive to things like that. I got this for my husband because he likes mine, but mine has a dark background and really dims down. For all of the other options given they should have given the option to change the background color!
On the same frequency as our television September 30, 2008 I'm a little frustrated with this product. I love it's features, and it's sound is great. However, it's apparently sharing the same frequency as our flat screen tv remote. Every time we change the channel via the remote it turns our alarms on or off. It means that despite purposely buying a dual alarm clock for simplicity we have to double check both alarm settings every night to make sure it didn't toggle to "off" from using the tv remote. It kind of sucks and makes the feature we bought it for moot.
Good, but not what I expected September 24, 2008 The Ihome is a good alarm, radio and ipod player. However the display is not like in the picture. The Ihome I got has the same display as the old one and one of the reasons I bought this one is becuase of the high contrast display. I was a little disapointed... Also the remote is not that great, you really have to point straight to the IHome to make it work, I guess that's the most you can get out of such a little remote. Other than that I am happy with the product.
