This was relatively easy to install and worked well from the start. The picture is good, it recognized all local digital channels.
Unit's nice but beware the installation template January 4, 2009
We're happy with the unit, although the functional screen is smaller than advertised. My big problem came in the very simple installation. It comes with paper template for marking where to drill the holes in the cabinet - fine and simple - except that the template did not match the unit. The holes were off by several mm so I had to measure, mark and redrill, making the cabinet like swiss cheese. Instead of taking 20 minutes it ended up taking a frustrating hour+!

I purchased this Audiovox VE927 9-inch LCD Drop Down TV last spring (2008)and had it professionally installed in my brand new kitchen. I was thrilled with picture quality, sound, appearance, and overall functionality. Six and one half months later on a Saturday afternoon, my brand new TV went black...totally dead. Neither Amazon nor Audiovox will take any responsibility for this product after 30 days past delivery. To even have it looked at by anyone costs 25%+ of the purchased price.I am now the proud owner of a very nice looking piece of junk. It is truly disconcerting that $230 is a throw away value these days. Shame on Audiovox and shame on me for missing it so much. This is truly a buyer beware situation.
Love this TV for my kitchen! December 31, 2008
I purchased this under cabinet TV a year ago for my kitchen, and I have absolutely loved it! My husband installed it under a row of cabinets that hang between our kitchen cooking area and the table area. Since the area was so open, he had no problems installing it. I love the way the screen swivels 180 degrees. I swivel it to the cooking area when I am cooking or washing dishes, and then I swivel the screen to face the table area while my children eat breakfast. A great feature! Some people have indicated the screen size is smaller than expected, but that is not the case at all. The picture size is a full 9 inches when measured on the diagonal. I think the thing that confuses people is that the 9-inch picture is surrounded by a 1-inch black band (as seen in the product display). We use cable input (not antenna) and have been very pleased with the picture and sound from this TV while watching either TV or DVDs. The radio works fine too, but we rarely listen to it since we purchased this unit for the TV not the radio. The sound is also fine for our purposes; however, we do not expect the same sound quality from this smaller unit as we do from our large TV in the family room. We have enjoyed this TV so much over the past year that I am now searching for another one. The reason? My 3-year-old (who is into everything these days) pulled a chair over to the cabinet where our TV is mounted and shoved the antenna line all the way into the Video Out input on the back of our unit. Now there is no picture - only a white screen. I pulled the antenna line out, but it appears she has ruined my favorite TV. I am now back to purchase another one. I definitely recommend this product.
