 A wonderful product! August 20, 2008
I purchased this unit because we often spend time in different areas of the house doing things. With the large stereo in the family room it limited us to just being able to have music from the ipod in one spot.
This item is both cordless and corded so no matter where we are we have whatever is on our ipod to listen to.
One thing to note is that it only charges your ipod when it is plugged in and does not charge when in battery mode, the instructions are not very clear about this.
Overall we love this unit. The sound is great and its compact design is wonderful. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for an ipod speaker setup. It costs a few dollars more than most of the other units but I feel it is worth it, you really get what you pay for. I listened to the Bose unit before purchasing but to me there is not a major difference in sound unless you are really tuned into slight variations in music reproduction.
Spend a few more dollars and get this unit over the cheaper one but save your $200 and get the Altec Lansing unit over the Bose.
Great speakers August 18, 2008
Great speakers. Very good sound. Love the portability.I use them outdoors on our deck. I returned the item that I bought from Amazon when I found them at BJ's for more than $24 cheaper. Be sure to shop around!

i already own altec lansing ipod speakers, and was happy with the quality, so when i saw that this product came with an fm radio i was excited for the versatility. unfortunately, it does not run on batteries, which made it impossible for beach use.

First off I think this is an incredible value for the money. It has excellent clarity, but all it needs is a little more bass. At like $200 cheaper than the Bose Sounddock this is an incredible buy. Another thing I wish was that it charged your iPod even when the unit isn't plugged in. The battery life of this thing doubles the life of my iPod nano, so my iPod will die before this thing will. So it is a great idea that they added the radio, which sounds just as crystal clear as the iPod music. I also wish they made it so you could charge it while the unit is shut. I don't want it standing up and vulnerable to getting smashed when I have it charging in a corner. In the end, I am VERY happy with the product, and a few minor things could have been altered but at $115 it's a steal.
Great Sound August 13, 2008
I wanted a small ipod player that I could take to my building project that would project through the site. With its SFX enhancement, I got what I was looking for. Its lightweight, compact and everything their ads claim.
