Product Description Go wide in style with the new 22" NEC AccuSync LCD223WXM, a widescreen desktop display that helps increase your productivity, while enlivening your senses. The LCD223WXM's wide-format screen provides roughly the same work area as two smaller-sized LCD screens and allows you to simultaneously work in multiple application windows. Other unique advantages include front-firing, integrated speakers and a remarkable 1000:1 contrast ratio.

Excellent monitor - looking to purchase a 2nd one! July 13, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this monitor back in January for my new XPS 420. I've used it primarily for web browsing, spreadsheets, watching movies, and photo editing. I don't play many games, so I can't comment on the quality of games on it, but it is a great monitor for all of the tasks I've listed.
Set up was a breeze. I have it connected to my nVidia 512mb 8800GT video card via DVI input. The stand only tilts, and does not have a height adjustment, so if you're tall (I'm only 5'2"), I would suggest getting a different stand. The controls are along the front bottom of the monitor, are easy to get to, and the monitor is easy to adjust. A headphone jack is also along the front.
Several reviewers commented that the text quality is really poor. I haven't had that experience, but I do have a high quality video card, which may be why.
The colors are rich and vibrant. I haven't calibrated my monitor for photo editing, but the photos do look crisp.
I've watched several downloaded HD TV shows on the monitor, and it has been great. I use JBL external speakers, so I can't comment on the quality of the built in speakers. My experience is that built in speakers don't sound good.
I like this monitor so much that I plan on purchasing a second one. The size is great, but since I do alot of photo editing, it takes up most of the real estate, and a second monitor would help me tremendously. I highly recommend this monitor. I got it for less than $200, so for what I paid, it was a tremendous value.
Great but needs high end video cards December 28, 2007 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
Great quality and sharp image *only* if your video card is set to 1650x1080 resolution to match this monitor's native settings. Connecting it to older computers or laptops with max resolution 1024x768 or 1280x1024 will result in terribly blurred fonts and stretched photos. NEC tech support said the only option is to upgrade to a newer video card. I got GE Force 6200 256Mb, it was worth the speed up and screen sharpness. On the whole a great deal if you know what kind of video card your computer supports (AGP 8x or 4x, PCI or PCI-E).
Great quality and price August 7, 2007 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
This monitor is the price of a noname with the performance of NEC. Not the best NEC monitor I ever had but a quality piece.
