As of 6/26/08, the Amazon product description states that this frame has "Easy to use on-screen menus with Alarm Clock features". It does *not* have any alarm clock features. Nor does it have any auto-power on or off features.
Also to note, you can not turn the frame on or off via the remote. And when you turn it back on, it doesn't not remember where it last was in a slideshow, or the mode you were in (slideshow vs. individual pictures).
The resolution was 800x600 and was ok in quality. The frame does feature a non-replaceable rechargeable battery.
If the price for this frame was half of what it is listed for, this might be a good buy. As it stands today, I'd pass.
