Product Description The Parrot Driver Headset is a wireless headset that has been specially designed for all drivers keen on the headset concept. The originality of the Parrot headset lies in its combined cradle used to both recharge and hold the headset when not in use. Once the kit has been paired with your Bluetooth phone, the cradle reacts to the slightest incoming call and notifies you by sounding a ringtone. Answer the call by pressing lightly on the headset to unclip it from the cradle, the call is established right away. The Parrot headset has been specifically designed for in-car use and does away with the conventional headband and sidepiece, which tend to get in the way when driving. It fits naturally into the auditory canal. The headset weighs a mere 14 grams and offers 5 hours talk time on a full charge. The Parrot Driver Headset features a built-in Bluecore 3 processor and offers complete compatibility with all the Bluetooth phones. Comfortable to charge, but microphone is too big and poor quaility October 28, 2008 I bought this headset to use in the car. It's very comfortable to charge - the charger is in the socket, the headset is in the charger, no tangling wires - great! But the headset is huge - it doesnt fit into my ears - none of them, and believe me - both of my ears are of generous size! :) It doesn't fit into my son's and friend's ears as well - keeps falling out. And the sound quality - my God! People I've been talking to were always complaining about low volume (they had it maxed on their receivers) and strange rustling and swishing noise. I've heard them better, but far away from good. If I could, I would like to return it or exchange for something better.
Good battery-life and sound quality, but problem with the charging unit August 24, 2008 I read a review about sound quality, but fortunately, I have had no such problem. I use this headset with a HTC Dash and the pairing works fine and the sound quality is good.
With my usage - approximately 20 minutes of charging every 24 hours and about 40 to 120 minutes of talking every day - I have not had any battery issues either.
The charging unit though, seems to have a problem. It just starts squealing off & on when I am driving. A little twist or push or tap on it usually stops the squealing.
Overall, I am happy with my purchase.
RAZR V3c trouble, but great with newer versions July 4, 2008 This headset is great with newer versions of RAZR phones, as well as Samsung phones. However, it creates some type of incompatibility with the old version of RAZR V3m. UPDATED: I bought three units for the family and as of today 10/04/08, only one is working. The other two stopped working completely. It is suggested to keep the warranty papers for a claim. Initially when I wrote this review, I gave the product "4 stars." However, I am giving now only "Two stars," but I cannot edit that.
Microphone not as loud as it should be. January 10, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I love the design, fit, and functionality of this headset, but the people I call complain of low volume. I have to shout to be heard, which is a drag. If the mic was better, 5 stars no doubt. I can hear those on the other end of the line, it pairs fairly easily with my LG VX9900. It sometimes shuts off after an extended non-powered trip in the car, and you'll need to pull it out of the cradle to turn it on again. If you drive a fair amount each day, this will probably not be an issue.
