CD synchro start helps record custom music mixes on cassette, and auto-scan tuning sets presets for you (12 FM, 12 AM) when powering up for the first time. And the unit even comes with a handy remote control to simplify operation from the comfort of any listening position. Full auto stop saves batteries and cassette wear by shutting down when a tape reaches its end (or beginning, if you've just rewound), while CD cue and review controls help zero in on just the section you're looking for. For extra spaciousness and visceral power, the boombox boasts a 1.6-inch center speaker as well as two four-inch main speakers. An acoustic separator cabinet keeps the right and left speakers apart, reducing signal interference to maintain clear sound. This setup also creates a resonating chamber for excellent bass response, giving you the sound of a three-piece system in a one-piece unit. I received one of these as a Christmas gift. The sound is good. The things I do not like about it are that the presets are erased if you unplug the radio and the remote does not have a volume control. I use this radio outside when I work in the yard or if I am working out which makes the remote volume control more important to me. It's a great radio if you have no plans to move it from where it sits.
