Not suitable for industrial application November 29, 2007 I have had four of these monitors in service (in a climate controlled room) for a little over one year. I have experienced two failures and multiple problems "syncing" the video signal using KVM extenders with brand new HP pcs running XP and 2003.
A Great Monitor January 10, 2007 I have owned this monitor for a year with no problems. Sometimes I think the colors are a little on the dark side, as compared with my monitor at work, but I am not too picky. I would buy another one.
Not impressed for the money. December 2, 2006 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this monitor because of good reviews and industry feedback. I am not seeing it. I am guessing that many folks are awed by this as their first LCD monitor.
I've seen other, far less expensive, LCD monitors that deliver as well or better.
On the plus side, not a single dead pixel.
3 dead pixle industry standard August 4, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Seems like a great monitor except for the BRIGHT RED dead pixle in the middle of the screen. At least Newegg advertises their dead pixle policy - ordered from AMAZON because have had good customer service in the past, and didn't want to have to deal with dead pixles. GUESS WHAT - AMAZON's unadvertised dead pixle policy is over 3 dead pixles to be considered defective. You have to eat the shipping for anything less. Go to a store where you can actually see this monitor hooked up before you can buy it. Or you may get stuck with a defective product or have to eat the shipping. You're definitely taking a chance ordering a monitor online - you pay for the defects.
Decent Monitor July 20, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought it and it was very fast shipping, im pleased with amazon.com and how fast they were able to ship my order. I took it out of the box, plugged it in and used the supplied DVI cable and connected it to my Geforce 6600GT. this monitor worked very well. I downloaded a utility just recently to check for dead pixels and found none. Ive seen a couple of bad reviews on this screen. The color is off a bit, the darker shades dont like to show their deep contrast(ive never seen an lcd produce good contrast in black or darker shades) the sRGB option makes everything washed out and very bright. The response time is good, i use VSYNC in all my games and they look really nice(with any LCD, vsync off option looks bad because of LCD's slower refresh rate 60Hz on most, but this unit can do 75HZ which is a bit better) I dont like the color contrast, and darker colors dont show up correctly, but other than that, this screen is a great deal, it consumes less power and less space than your older CRT and is a good deal for the money.
