 NOT worth the price!!! January 3, 2008
I bought this monitor about a year ago and just recently I went to turn on the computer and the screen went black for no reason. I am not able to get any picture back. I thought it was my CPU at first but then realized it was the monitor. This is the first time a monitor lasted less than a year. I had my previous monitor for almost 8 years! I will not buy another View Sonic or recommend one, especially after reading a previous review where the person had two go at the same time.

Great picture clarity, simple to set up. Colors and text are sharp and bright using the auto setup setting. I've had absolutely no problems with it since I got it and I use it every day. The front/back tilt adjustment lets you set it to just the right angle for you. And what can I say, but the monitor just looks cool in black with the offsetting silver control buttons and tilt hinge. I highly recommend it.

I play Battlefield 2 , Call OF Duty 2 . Quake 4 ,Doom3 and a bunch more. I'm very happy with this monitor. Playes everything I can through at it & no goasting at all. I would recommend this monitor anyone who is looking for a Flatscreen LCD. Best Bang for the Buck.

I purchased 2 Viewsonic LCD monitors and both lasted about a year and a half before the left side of the screens went dark. No diagnostic queries or interaction could bring them back to normal. I contacted customer support and was told that Viewsonic would do nothing. Maybe it was stupid of me not to get a warranty beyond the first year, but I assumed that a good product, with good parts, from a company with a desire to satisfy its customers with a QA/QC program that would ensure good products being produced, would last longer that a year and a half. With 2 LCD moniotrs having the same problem and lasting about the same length of time, this strongly indicates to me a non-coincidental problem within Viewsonic. I will not buy anything from Viewsonic again. I will spend a little money, if I have to, to buy a reliable product from a reliable company.
