My orignal battery died after two years. I usually used my laptop plugged into the power but ocasionally used with battery. Don't let your Li-Ion battery drop below 10% charge before charging again. this will put a lot of strain on your battery and reduce its lifetime.
The new battery holds about 1.5 hours which I am pretty happy about and I will try not to drain it completely before charging.

My old battery was one of those that was recalled. I missed that announcement and bought this battery for my Toshiba R15-S822 model Tablet PC. Toshiba says "This is the direct replacement for Toshiba Primary 6-Cell Li-Ion Battery Packs (Mfr. Part#: PA3128U-1BRS, PA3191U-1BRS, PA3191U-2BRS, PA3191U-3BRS and PA3191U-4BRS)".
This battery is cooler than the one I got with my Laptop. It has been a week only and there are no issues with this one. I don't like the brightness decreased for any reason when using battery power. I always put it to maximum brightness in power management.
So far I am getting 3 hours of Divx Movie Viewing (Brightness =Full and CPU =3), or 2:40h of browsing with Wireless LAN (FullPower mode) or 1:20h when both WLAN on Flashgot running and Divx movie viewing at Full Power mode. I haven't tried anything else but it shows 4:40h while reading a pdf with Long Life profile selected.
