Product Description Just plug it in and the EZ Set Clock Radio from H.H. Scott sets itself. It automatically sets it self to the correct: time, date, day of the week, and year.
Amazon.com Review The E-Z Set clock radio could just as well be called the "Never-Set." That's because its built-in computer chip will automatically update all time changes for nearly a century. Plug it in and the E-Z Set instantaneously adjusts to the correct year, month, date, day, and time. The only thing you have to set is your time zone. After that, all your settings are held, even if the AC power source is interrupted. This unit has a nice look, manageable size, and a great display that includes a dimmer with high/low settings. At a glance you'll know the time, date, and weekday. Since the E-Z Set self-adjusts for Daylight Savings and leap year, you'll never wake again wondering what the day, date, or time is. Dual independent alarms offer flexible wake options. For each alarm, you can choose from weekday, weekend, or everyday wake modes, as well as radio or buzzer alarm options. The E-Z Set's snooze lets you slumber in nine-minute increments for up to an hour, and its snooze bar is easy to access. Another handy feature is the programmable sleep timer. Set to your preference (up to 90 minutes) and drift to sleep to the built-in radio. The AM/FM tuner includes a one-touch on/off button, tuning scale, band selector, and thumbwheel controls for tuning and volume. It has one speaker, positioned at the back, with monaural output. This unit is primarily a clock radio--don't expect high-fidelity speaker performance here. H.H. Scott designed the E-Z Set with an eye for ease, and indeed, most programming buttons are intuitive and accessible. One exception is the dual alarms' selector switch, which we found awkward to use and poorly spaced. Additionally, the sleep timer button could be larger. Despite these quibbles, however, this clock radio is notable for its ease of use--you shouldn't find yourself reaching for the user's guide very often. To complete the package, the E-Z Set comes with a great power-failure system that relies on and includes a 3-volt lithium battery, which should last from three to five years. And, as added backup, you can always manually set the clock. H.H. Scott includes a limited one-year parts and labor warranty. --Heidi Wartelle Pros: - Always on time and self-adjusts for Daylight Savings and leap year
- Informative display; time, date, and weekday are available at a glance
- Dual alarms offer flexible weekday, weekend, or daily setting options
Cons: - Alarm selector switch is awkward to use and spaced too closely to other buttons
- Sleep timer is almost indistinguishable from other programming buttons

Good alarm clock November 2, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you are looking for a clock to set 2 different wake up times, this clock does work. Monday-Wednesday-Friday we get up at one time, Tuesday-Thursday is another time. All you have to do is turn on either alarm 1 or alarm 2 before bed. The fact that it adjusts for daylight savings time is an added bonus.
clock radio March 10, 2006 So far we have been highly satisfied. When we plugged the radio in it went to the right time for us in EST and the readout is really good as it can be read from as far away as the next room from where it is positioned so at night it is nice to be able to see the time. We haven't used it much yet for the radio but have quite a few throughout the house so we play whereever we happen to be at the time.
happy February 26, 2006 Purchase was for my son who attends college. He get's up at two different times mon., wed, & fri 8:30-- Tues, Wed 9:15. It would be nice if you could have settings for just the week day's
Avoid this unit September 30, 2005 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I plugged in the unit and the radio is unusable. In AM mode it buzzes so loud, I can't hear a single station. FM buzzes less loud but still unusable. I tried it at a friend's house and it had the same loud buzz. I called Scott's 800 number and they said they are aware of the problem with their remaining stock and to NOT SEND IT IN to them since they would just send me another buzzing unit.
ps - the unit does change automatically for daylight savings time apparently, but will now do so on the wrong dates since it is hardwired with the old change dates from years ago!!
Really Great...Until... November 29, 2004 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I loved this cloack radio for a while. After a year or so, the line segments that make up the time started to burn out one at a time. Now so many of them are off, the time is completely unreadable. The alarms still go off very reliably, but I defy you to set the alarm or read the time with only about half the bars working.
