Customer Reviews:
Almost VERY pleased April 27, 2008 I was in need of a reasonably-priced boombox to use with children on a playground. I "tested" it at home for a couple of weeks and was extremely pleased with the sound and ease of use. I then purchased batteries so I could play children's CD's, containing singing games. (I neglected to "test" before hand, assuming all would be well.)
I was dismayed to learn that the Battery-powered portion of the boombox did NOT or COULD NOT play my CD. It didn't work at home either!!!!! I even checked the manual to be sure I knew what I was doing.
The CD works fine on AC current. A friend said that perhaps the batteries don't have enough capability to power up the CD. Needless to say, I am disappointed. This was, indeed, my reason for purchasing the Boombox.
Great Product for Great Price! April 9, 2008 There is absolutely no other product in this category that even compares to this unit.It will play any Cd,Mp3 Cd, or cassette I throw at it.It's great to be able to play 15 to 20 complete albums on one Mp3 Cd.It really does a good job picking up radio stations and has pretty good sound too. This unit will do everything you need in a neat, compact, seemingly well made, portable system. For the price, don't pass this one up!
Lousy Value April 5, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I ordered this unit for the MP3 player and the FM radio. It disappointed me immediately. The only MP3 controls that work are the play and stop buttons; you cannot use the next track or previous track buttons when playing an MP3 disc. The radio has an analog tuner which is difficult to tune. Finally, the bass is non-existent.
I ended up returning the unit, it was so bad.
Jwin Jxcd472 Portable Cd/Mp3 Player/recorder With Am/Fm Radio March 26, 2008 This is the second Jwin Jxcd472 Portable Cd/Mp3 Player/recorder With Am/Fm Radio. They work quite well and are an excellent value. I'd buy a 3rd if need be.
Good for the price March 25, 2008 I wanted something inexpensive for my desk at work that had a radio and could play MP3 CDs. The radio tuner is pretty bad. I hear 2 or 3 stations at one time all the way across the dial. It just doesn't seem to be able to separate the signals. This product's redeeming quality is that it plays my MP3 CDs with no problem, and the sound is better than expected. If all you want is a CD player, you'll like it.
