I am very happy with my purchase. This radio is a great size, provides great sound, and can run exclusively on batteries - all exactly what I had searched for in a radio for our newly redecorated master bath. I would highly recommend this radio and will probably purchase an additional radio for use in a second home.
a good radio for the money July 22, 2008
I was looking for a small portable am/fm radio with built-in speaker when I found the Sangean Sonido on line. It had more features than I needed (weather band and TV audio links), but it provided excellent am/fm reception with good audio quality for a small speaker, something I have had difficulty finding. Don't expect surround sound, but do expect a good value for the money. If batteries last as long as other reviewers have reported, it completes the good-deal package.
Best TV radio! July 19, 2008
The Sangean Sonido radio is a great product! You get 4 TV channels, AM/FM and weather alert and they come in perfectly clear. Sound is great! The only trouble I have is keeping a hold on the channels when I preset them, turn radio off and later turn it back on. But it doesn't take any trouble to reset them! Great for listening to TV and news while you're doing dishes!! Shipping was fast too!

I have had in the past two other Sangean Radios (the CC Radio & the 'Q'
Radio.) The problem with both of them, was that the LED display faded out after a Year or so. I was skeptable to try another product because of this. I did anyways & I have owned it for almost 2 years and have had no problems at all with the LED display! As far as the Radio the reception is very good. It rivals the CC radio. It's easy to use & has a two hour sleep timer which is a great feature. Also I use it daily and the batteries last a long time. The sound is also very good. I would highly recommend this radio.
Radio with an alarm June 24, 2008
This product is just what I was looking for. Our bedroom of our house was in a shadow zone and on any given day we could get a radio station from 250 miles away or 50 miles away and with static, but not the preferred one that was 35 miles away. This radio is able to get signals from the closest radio station and after a month...no static. I had been looking for an alarm clock radio but I now know that I needed a good radio with an alarm component. I think it is easy to use, and am happy that so many people reviewed this radio/alarm.
