Unbelievable sound and reception in an elegant, petite radio! January 15, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Sangean is living up to their reputation with this radio! The Sonido delivers full, rich sound although it is not large. I usually get horrible AM & FM reception in my apartment. This radio sounds great! My more powerful and larger radios cannot compare. The Sonido has a telescopic antennae, something lacking on many portable radios these days, that makes getting good reception rather difficult. The radio runs quite long on battery power. I usually use the adapter, but the option of running it by batteries is great when taking the radio outdoors. The weather band comes in loud and clear, another nice plus! The memory is easy to program and use. You cannot go wrong by choosing this radio.
Sangean Sonido Radio December 27, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This has to be the best portable radio ever. It runs AC/DC and is small enough to be easily carried around. This is the second one I've purchased - this one for a gift. I highly recommend it because of the excellent clarity of sound and ease of use.
Exceptional Build Quality, Clarity and Receiving capability December 21, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I tried two other radios before this purchase (Grundig and Eton) but they could not compare to the high level of reception, build quality and the audio clarity from the single speaker Sonido. I'm not a radio geek so I can't explain the technology, but somehow this unit just finds (and holds) any AM or FM station and fills the room with an amazingly high quality sound. I also appreciate the NOAA weather alert feature, batteries that seem to never die, and highly intuitive controls.
One minor con: there is no natural place to pickup and carry the radio - my finger invariably finds a button to press everytime I attempt to pick it up. Might want to consider purchasing Sangean's radio case which includes a carrying handle. Yes, I have big hands, so try it first without the accessory.
An amazing and versatile radio December 11, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm completely satisfied with this radio. The quality both in construction and sound is outstanding. The ease of operation and simplicity of set-up is again top in my book and I've researched many before deciding on this product. One minor feature I would have liked would be an internal battery charger but again that is a very minor point.
Great Products December 7, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
We live in a hilly area where reception on any radio seems to be poor. The reception on this radio is better than any other one I have purchased. I am very happy with it. The only thing I wish it had was a auto off after 90,45 or 15 minutes. I would definitely recommend it.
