Great to have. Must own if you own a Sansa e series player. December 16, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I must admit- this item is very limited in function, and you may have to download an update to your player as I did to make it work. But this item is great because it hooks up so easily to my large stereo system and we can dance without the cd player skipping or changing cds all the time. And the charging funtion is wonderful. It displays that the unit is charging and then shuts itself off when charging is complete. Our household has 5 Sansas and charging them is a breeze. Another plus is the compact size of the remote and the built in storage dock for the remote. No doubt they will have updates available for this unit in the very near future too.
Superb product! December 3, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Works great, but be mindful if you purchased your sansa overseas, it is not compatible with this device until you get professional assistance.

Great gadget. Have it sitting on top of my stereo and play my tunes from the MP3 player any time I want to. No need to change CD's.
great add-on for sansa November 29, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
i received this as a birthday gift for a sansa i got last christmas i love it this is what i have been looking for all year and it is the best thing i could've gotten. when connected to my home audio it sounds great not to mention it has a remote control, and charger built in to the unit. sansa should come out with more accessories for their mp3 players believe me there is a large market out there. not everyone thinks ipod is the way to go.

As noted in other reviews, SanDisk dropped the ball programming the remote. The only workaround is to create long play lists using Windows Media Player and sync them to the device. Then at least you can play a list and skip/replay tracks from the remote with less fumbling around.
Works best with E200 family players, which can be operated in the dock. C200 models need to be removed from the base, or the whole base tipped sideways, to navigate the menus, which can be quite annoying if you aren't playing from a long list. (The C200 display is bad enough that if you are getting a player and the base station... just get the E200 instead. You'll be glad you did.)
Comes in handy to charge the units and besides your home sound system can be used with any powered speakers left over from computers etc.
