Great buy! June 28, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have this Zen V plus for over a year now and am still enjoying this little thing. I watch video's, photo's and listen to music with great sound. No problem with drag and drop in contrary to other reviews. It had never been easier. With the freezing I have never experienced this only when the unit battery is almost done. I have used the "pin" I think 3 times to reload it again. Overall, this is a great buy. My daughter and son have Apple. Iphone and Ipod and they have to admit how great this little fellow's sound is. For the price this is a BUY!!!

This little player sounds great. I bought it along with a docking station for my daughter's birthday. The Zen V plus holds lots of music and I can use it with the music subscription service I have.
LISTEN TO ME! May 28, 2008 Mark me that this is a WONDERFUL, affordable, MP3 player. You can change the background by clicking one of the pictures and pressing the back button, in that menu you will see "set as background". You can use you're own pictures! Aside from that, the ear plugs aren't for small ears as the ones I, ruefully, was born to have... yet the sound from them is amazing! Also, before you let anyone dis the 2 gigs, think about it. Do you actually like more than 1,000 songs enough to put them on an MP3 player? You do? Oh, well buy the one with 4 then. :( And if you get it from Amazon then I guess you've got serious money... I work at Burger King and that isn't my luxury so I recommend buying those that are slightly or not used. I bought mine from KY Store for less than 50. I am very pleased. You do not need to buy the wall cord as long as you follow the instruction and do not rush your MP3 player--all will be well. Trust me, it charges FINE. You can change the background color, too. Blue, Orange, Lilac, Red, and Green, are the options... of course, they have better names for the themes than that. Also, the keys are easy to use, in the center is a joystick, that means it makes you happy. ;p And the voice recorder is good. That joystick did break in half on me. But I pried off the two top plastic pieces on the bottom and super glued them back together. Worked good. Haven't had any other problems.
And so my final advice: If you want to get the docking stereo... aside from it being a lot of money and making me jealous, you could just get a tape adapter, like me.
Best of luck in your choice--this would be a fine one. -The Godfather
It's Not An Ipod But !!!!!! May 27, 2008 It may not be as fancy as an Ipod but this little thing really does a lot for a low price!!! I love it. It holds enough songs for my liking and pictures too. It is a neat little gadget!!!!!
Does exactly what I need it to May 27, 2008 This is my first MP3 player and I wanted something inexpensive to get the hang of it before I got one of the "better" and higher gig ones. This is only used when I go to the gym, and I am hooked. I like the interface, storage, battery life is reasonable (I charge it about every five days or so), and it is simple to use. So far I have had no problems with it and I think this is a great starter player for most people. I have even dropped this a few times and still works perfectly.
The things that I didn't like was there is no clip or arm band to speak of. If you want any accessories it looks like you can only get it online and that is a bit of a let down. I have absolutely no place to put this during a workout which is a huge hassle for me so I have to get creative (usually stuffing it in my bra.) I can't see paying $30 for an arm band if I am going to eventually upgrade in the coming months.
Overall I would recommend this I think it is a great little player and most will be very happy with it.
