 Great for Audio Books October 18, 2008
Pros: It's simple. Great to listen to audio books/music while walking/running. Simple pause, forward, back,shuffle, and off/on with one touch control. Remembers where you were in a chapter and restarts there. Lightweight and easily clips on shirt or pants. Lots of free downloadable listening materials on iTunes and other online sites (pod casts, audio books, university lectures, radio shows, childrens literature, ect). Great value for what it does.
Cons: It's simple. Can't see what chapter your listening or name of song. If you want all the bells and whistles get the ipod touch, it's amazing, but more cumbersome and costs a lot more.

This is a handy little gadget. Works quite well. The problem I have is with the instructions. Not being familiar with Apple products and their "lingo" it takes some time to translate what needs to be done to use this item into the more common "PC" language. Once translated, the system works OK.

I purchased this Ipod shuffle to replace one that was damaged in an accident. The unit does everything that I want, holds hundreds of tunes and the battery seems to last for ever. I travel nationwide by plane and with the cut backs on entertainment etc. I have a pocket size music machine to keep me happy. I only load the songs that I like because you do not have the option to select specific tracks from a menu.
Would I buy another? I did, this is my second and love it.

Exvellent purchase once you can get by the software. Setting it up even though the instructions looked easy, was not very user friendly. Once we finally figured it out, it's a gem. Great sound and again, once you figure it out, the download process is very easy.

I got this for a present and he was very happy with it. He can hook it up in his car and use it also. The clip is a plus.
