Apple IPOD Nano October 29, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
The Nano works great for downloading/playing music. It downloads quickly, the sound is great even with the small earbuds that came with it, holds a charge well (after initial charge, I used the Nano for over 3 weeks before it needed a recharge). My only comment is the instructions are very cursory and there's a lot that's not covered in them.
Excellent improvement October 29, 2007 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
This is my first i Pod, and its great, for the price you just can't go wrong, first up the screen is bigger, nice interface, pretty decent extras, although i don't use them much and 4G of memory. This version is excellent for the person with minimal video needs. However if you're looking for good video functionality i would strongly recommend the 8G or an i Pod classic, since i started downloading podcasts, I'm in need of more space. All in all an excellent product.
iPOD died after a week October 28, 2007 4 out of 8 found this review helpful
The iPOD worked for about a week but now it won't power up. I tried reseting and recharging like Apple recommends, but it's just dead. Now I have to send it back to Apple to get it fixed. I looked in the Apple forums and there seems to be quite a few people with this same problem. It may be too early still to buy this product.
The New iPod AAC/Nano is AWESOME! October 28, 2007 2 out of 6 found this review helpful
My husband purchased a Toshiba Gigabeat last year for my birthday. I still haven't figured how to use it! When I saw all the iPod Nano AAC/MP3 player could do, I couldn't resist! Especially after the CNet review I saw on TIVO. (Boy, was hubby mad!) I can usually figure out stuff pretty quickly even if I'm in the baby boomer generation. This definitely was the case with the iPod and ITunes. The earbuds don't work very well in my ears (they pop out even after stretching the ear canal, etc.) My daughter suggested regular headphones which work very well. The sound quality is excellent. I love listening to the variety of podcasts (Hola!Coffee Break Spanish!) and the bits of video. They are small for my tri-focaled eyes, though. Being able to download a song here and a song there from various artists past and present and mixing them together is really cool..one minute, Frank Sinatra..next..Flaming Lips! Very eclectic! Because of the small size, be careful! I almost forgot to clean out my jeans pocket and it would have had a soapy death! All in all, a great invention....and I love to listen to it while I'm walking the dog..the dog gets tired before I do now!
8 GB iPod nano October 27, 2007 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
this was purchased as a gift for my 18 year old who wanted to move up from her original nano purchased several years ago. Now she wants video as well! This serves her purpose and will hopefully last her many years. There is nothing amiss with her current nano - she just wanted to add video feature. Both my children have nanos and are completely happy with the product!
