Good Item For a Couple Weeks March 15, 2008 I was pretty happy with the item when I first got it. I used it about ten times. The battery life is horrible, it needs constant re-charging. I made the mistake of leaving it un-charged for about a week. Now the battery will only go to one bar, no matter how long I charge it. It is useless now. Don't waste your money like I did.
Zen Stone Plus is good for the money February 18, 2008 The Zen Stone Plus does all that it says in the product description. However, there are drawbacks to this device that I enjoyed with the shuffle. The first is that it doesn't come with a built in clip, which is a constant struggle in that I only use it for workouts. Having to buy a separate clip that does not firmly attach to the unit is a daily annoyance. I happened to purchase the sport pack which included the skin, clip, and armband. I haven't found a good use for the armband. The skin covers the screen making it hard to navigate. The battery life seems to be extremely short and it since it has multiple functions, this means charging it after every workout (4 times a week). Sometimes the on/off function is a challenge in that you have to hold the button for at least 5 seconds. The other drawback is the short USB cord - 5 inches long. I do enjoy the portability of the device and the sound is good. For the money and storage size, this does offer more than the shuffle including a radio, timer, stopwatch, recorder, music, and screen. But if you want more from a smaller device, I would recommend the Zen V or Zen V plus, which is in the same price range with a bigger color screen. My overall rating is 3.5 out of 5 stars.
Great MP3 player February 8, 2008 Got one for my wife for Christmas. It is incredibly light and easy to operate. Also easy to load songs on it using pretty much any software or just dragging and dropping in windows explorer. Less than half the price of my daughter's IPOD. Personally, I hate the apple software and don't find the IPOD as easy to operate as the Creative Zen Stone or my super cheap RCA MP3 player.
Useless and Creative's Customer Service Department stinks February 5, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
If this is your first venture into MP3 players like it was mine DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT buy this device. First of all, there is no legally downloadable music to play on this thing. Nothing is compatible. But, go to their website and click on the "Fill Your Zen" link from the Zen Stone Plus 2GB webpage and it gives you all kinds of links to compatible services. Go to the service, sign up for it, and Guess What? It's not compatible. But wait!!?? They advertised that it was? Now try to get help from customer service. They talk in circles, oh yea, by e-mail only... and then to top it off you have to wait at least 24 hours between e-mails to get answers that get you nowhere. In the last e-mail I got customer service finally told me..

I regret to tell you that Zen Stone Plus doesn't support Online Music Subscription Services. Therefore you won't be able to transfer any of the online music that you have subscribe whether it is itunes or Yahoo!Unlimited."
Well now, there's some help. All that stuff that they linked me to on their website, its not compatible. And I'm not comfortable downloading pirated music. So now what? I've got a device that does not do what the website said it would do. I call that false advertising and, Oh Yes...hmmm, its a piece of junk.
Great mp3 player January 21, 2008 It's a great mp3 player but also a great voice recorder. I use it to record important thing professors say in class and it really helps me study afterwards!
