Sony Makes A Comeback April 12, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I picked this up after taking a look at different simple flash based mp3 players. My concerns were mostly cost and software related. I did not want a player which relied on bloated software or poorly designed software. I could live with less elegant navigation if the transfer of music and files did not require clunky software. This Sony Walkman fulfills the criteria and a bit more.
Pros: 1. Drag and drop! Music and videos may be added without software, just drag the files to corresponding folders 2. Works with Windows Media Player 11, it syncs very easily (ability to make playlists easily) 3. Simple user interface, buttons are named properly, operates very smoothly
Cons: 1. Display is plastic, not glass, will scratch very easily 2. Case is completely plastic
The Cons definitely weigh less than pros. It's a good buy for about $100. I don't have an opinion on the sound quality, music sounds best when paired with better headphones. The stock headphones are white for this model, anticipate buying another set if white is not desired.
Sony MP3 player April 5, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Its a very good buy. I only rated it 4 stars because its size was much smaller than I had anticipated it would be but its okay, I am getting used to it.
I love the main menu screens and all of the menu features. The displays are very good on the screen.
Its a very good buy for the money it cost. All of my friends and relatives that have seen it think that its cute and a very good buy as well.
AWESOME!!!!! March 23, 2008 I am really computer illiterate, when I received my Sony Walkman it took my son only three minutes to show me everything I needed to put ALL of my cd's on it. I've been rockin' ever since.
You can use it with iTunes! March 12, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this to replace an old iPod mini. The battery in this is incredible - I can go for weeks without charging it, and I use it at least five days a week.
You can definitely still use iTunes with this Walkman. It can play M4A files, which are what type of files are created by iTunes when you import a cd. If you buy music from the iTunes store, they will be M4P files (unless they are the new DRM-free format.) You can just burn your M4P files onto a cd and import the cd back into iTunes. You can open your iTunes music folder and drag and drop the songs onto your Walkman as though it were a memory stick. Very handy.
