My 1st MP3 player...a good choice June 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Cons: As others have stated, this player has very few available accessories compared to other players. And its proprietary usb cable is also not a plus. Also cannot delete songs from the player without being connected to a computer.
Pros: Intuitive features, extremely easy to load with music with Windows Media Player 11, attractive, lightweight, long-life battery, great audio quality.
Notes: Video quality is also good but who wants to watch anything on a display this small? I use it strictly for music. This 4GB player holds nearly 900 songs. Headphones sound good but do not like to stay put when I'm biking with this player. I tried two cheapo pairs of headphones, $25 Phillips noise-canceling (SHN2500) and $10 Maxell Peanuts (EB-P412). Both were much worse than the stock headphones.

Glad sony got into the ipod market. Way to go sony. Love it and recomend highly
Nice Device June 16, 2008 I have had this player for about a month or so.
Pros: sleek, stylish, ease of use, brilliant screen, the controls are easy to use as well. Battery life is excellent. I haven't had to recharge from zero power yet. I also enjoy using the Napster music service. Its 15 bucks but its cool that you can download as much as you want and put it on your player or computer. You just don't own the music, more like renting it. Also, despite the weak base, the sound is good. The variation from quiet to loud is excellent, I think it goes from 1-30 in volume control. Its small, but constructed well.
Cons: Significant less memory than advertised, inability to delete songs from player itself, smallish screen for video playback, weak base?, lack of accessories. I purchased a Radio Shack amplifier for about 12 dollars, for output so I could listen to it in my office without headphones. It works well.
Overall, I great product, well worth the coin.
Total value and convenience! Great sound! May 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Sony 4 GB Walkman player is sleek, small, ergonomic, easy to use, easy to transfer files, easy to hook up and initiate. In other words; EASY! I choose to use WMA and not MP3 files - can't stand the poor sound quality; although, to be honest - the current MP3 in Vista sounds pretty good. For value, ease of use and quality - you can't beat this little baby.
Small size, great sound May 27, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Plus:
-Very good software, after 2 weeks of use I have no "frozen" screen. -The volume button is a huge plus. -Screen resolution is the best. -Easy to use menu, very intuitive.
Cons:
-Only MPE4 files can be read, and there is no software to convert included in the package (for a $ 120 it's not the best deal) -There is no way to delete files directly from de player, it's always necessary to connect to the computer. -If you use de "Windows Explorer" to copy files into the device, the covers of the songs will not appear in the player. You have to use the tool "Sync" in the "Windows Media Player".
