Customer Reviews:
Great sound and screen, but has problems September 1, 2008 I recently bought the Sansa Clip. The screen is great, and the sound quality is terrific. However, the player has some problems:
1. The battery indicator on my Sansa Clip is defective. The indicator always shows the battery as uncharged, even when the battery is fully charged. As a result, I have no way of knowing when a recharge is needed. I subsequently and found out that battery problems are very common with this product.
2. This player allows for drag-and-drop, which is great. But unlike most drag-and-drop players, the Sansa Clip does NOT display the same directory structure that exists on your PC. Also, this player does not display filenames. It is impossible to see what is playing unless you create ID3 tags.
Some advice: Keep all the packaging for the player until you are 100% positive you will not be returning it. This Seller does not accept returns unless all the original packaging is also returned.
Tiny but Terrific!!!!! September 1, 2008 The SanDisk Sansa Clip may be small in stature but it isn't small in performance. I am well pleased with the ease of added or deleting songs and the operation is soooo simple. Great Product!!
Love this thing August 29, 2008 I received this for my birthday & love it. It's my first MP3 player ever & have found it to be very newbie friendly. I had to go to sandisks website & upload the instructions for it, but no big deal. It doesn't seem to have but about a 4-5 hour battery, but again buy the car charger for it & you're good to go. Very easy to get music on & off, holds alot. I have more than 500 songs on it & still has room for more, have moved whole playlists (more than 10 songs) to it at one time with no problems. The radio sounds great also. My nephew wants one really bad it's so easy to use.(he'll be getting one for Christmas;-)
sansa 2 gig disc player August 20, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love the player, it's small and easy to use BUT it came with a disc to install rhapsody to download music. Rhapsody didn't work on my computer at all--it kept freezing it up. So my son used it on his to download some music. I didn't realize at the time that we would have to pay $15 per month to keep using the songs that we were made to believe we downloaded for free. It was a huge pain to delete everything and just start over with windows explorer (which we should have done in the first place) and I still can't get rid of the message that pops up that I have to resynchronize with rhapsody. It should be made clearer to the user that these downloads are not in fact free after the 1st month.
Great for audio books August 12, 2008 Bought this as my first mp3 player to download audio books. Chose SanDisc because Apples are not compatible with the library's download software. I chose the Clip because I listen to books as I workout or do yardwork. I have been very pleased; the small size is a real benefit from Cassette or CD players. The menu and navigation through the various operations is easy and intuitive, for this rookie mp3 user.
