No digital rights management (DRM)- doesn't work with audiobooks October 13, 2008 If you want a product that works with downloadable audiobooks (our library uses OverDrive), this product will NOT work as it does NOT have digital rights management (DRM). My husband has one of these that looks identical with only 2GB (the MPC895) instead of 4GB, so I thought it would work. Instead, they made a product with quasi navigation (this is significantly different from the MPC895) and took away the most important feature... the DRM. Now it (the MP300-4G) is basically useless.
I also REALLY don't like that you can no longer create an anonymous review!!!
Works with Mac OS 9.2.2 October 12, 2008 Small, lightweight, easy to use, can be used for data; I found it to be compatible with Mac OS 9.2.2. Thank you COBY!
perfect for travel October 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought this for my 16 year old son, who'd already gone through an ipod and a Zoom. This has proven more durable and less complicated to load songs. I for one prefer it requiring a single AAA battery versus recharging via usb on the computer- makes for less problems.
Don't Do It! October 8, 2008 I give this product 2 stars because it couldn't have been easier to upload songs onto it. Other than that this product has been nothing but trouble. My daughter (who has been very careful with her precious new MP3 player) has used it a total of 4 times. It PLOWS through batteries. And now it no longer works at all. It won't turn on. Although I'm still searching for answers, I haven't gotten any from Coby's 800 number. I hear that Sony makes the best MP3 players, I guess I shouldn't have skimped to get this one.
