Excellent iPod killer November 16, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
i gotta say after owning the mini and the 2nd gen Nano, i am quite frankly blown away by this lil sleek thing. The menus r simple and the sound is very good. I tried the video, but it was a bit too small for me. for Seventy two bucks, skip the new nano and get 2 of these puppies for the same moolah. i would recommend it to anybody. go 4 it.
For audiobook listeners...fantastic! November 16, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I just got my Fuze and it exceeds my expectations. Let me explain. I listen to audiobooks and music. I have never been able to find a player that allows me to remember my audiobook place (bookmark) after listening to music. Fuze let's me do this. When listening to a book, simply exit to main menu and you are given the option to resume when you return to your book. Awesome! And you will also automatically resume on the music track when you return there.
I have had had a Creative Zen V for the past couple of years, I actually bought a Sansa 260 back then but got rid of it. The Fuze is so much better.
As for the player itself - it feels robust with a lovely finish. How well it withstands scratches remains to be seen but I will most likely get a silicone cover. The controls are wonderful to the touch and scrolling through the menus is a breeze. The scroll wheel on the Fuze is a huge improvement on its predecessor.
The only thing I would suggest to discard are the headphones. Get yourself a decent pair as the those included are garbage. But then this goes for most brands of MP3 players. I use Sennheiser PX 100 which are great value at less than $40 on Amazon.
All in all, the Sansa Fuze is a great little player.
Great Product November 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Purchased for my 12 year old. He loves it. Very easy to use and great value for the money. Have been very pleased with all SandDisk MP3 players.
Everything except the audio jack 5 stars .... November 9, 2008 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
This would be perfect except the audio jack. Unless the earphone jack is EXACTLY in the right spot, the audio "ticks" and cuts out. The slightest vibration or movement knocks it out again. The ease of use and size of player were perfect -- but at the end the audio problem makes this a bad choice. Not sure if it's just a defect for mine or something wrong with the majority of the manufactured product.
I left this review for the pink one, but felt as though it had to be put here as well November 4, 2008 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I went through 3. Yep, and all three went on to have the "ticking/skipping" sound when I turned up the volume. It wasn't the earphones. It wasn't the format of the songs: it comes with sample songs on which I tested the volume. Then I look this little flaw up in google and one forum says that Sandisk is "working on it." Nice, well while they work on it this player is heading back to the store. Buy this with a warranty, just in case.
