5 out of 5 stars AMAZING Sound!!   May 18, 2008
This is a small but wonderful unit, with extra bass, if you so desire to avail yourself of it. It plays my cassettes beautifully, and is a great value for the money.

5 out of 5 stars This Walkman Rocks   May 15, 2008
I use this all day at work -hooked up to small speakers- and it is GREAT!!!! SOOO worth the money.

4 out of 5 stars Pretty Neat   May 3, 2008
This little Sony is a pretty neat item, particularly for the price. The battery life is as good as other reviewers say; the item is lighter weight than the previous and similar model Walkman I owned (until the tape sound quit on me); and the sound quality is fine for books on tape, which is my primary concern. My only complaint would be that the written directions for pre-setting the radio stations could be MUCH clearer. A more straightforward 1,2,3 might help people who can't do these sorts of things in their sleep (like the average 10 year old kid). My only hope is that now that I have said nice things, the thing won't turn on me.

4 out of 5 stars What I like in a Walkman   April 28, 2008

It has just the features I like. A rewind button, but it does not automatically reverse the tape. It is easy to use and the sound quality is good. I use it exclusively for audiobooks

1 out of 5 stars major design flaw   April 18, 2008

I have two of these and I've loved them at first, that is, until the door keeping the battery in (yes, it only takes one, very cool) inevitably breaks. The battery is pressured from the inside againse the sliding door, which breaks with the least provocation. It would be easy to tape closed if the battery were not pushing to come out, so strong rubber bands are needed to hold the battery in. Which means the rubber bands shift or come off regularly, causing the tape to stop frequently. Very annoying.
