this radio proved itself in the middle of Yosemite where I stay every year and always have had no radio reception.Nothing against the c crane co. but this radio is a great value for the price. wish it had an input for CD but very very satisfied

Wish I would have purchased this radio long ago,Got Crain beat by a mile.Batteries last days longer.Money well spent.
Also a fan October 28, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I live near Nashville and can listen to Chicago radio with zero interference, very nearly. I have nothing to add to what others have said: good design; batteries last forever; good sound...I'd have given this the full five stars had it a digital tuner, but I'm not sure I want to buy a radio that requires a PhD in order to operate it like a Sony shortwave I own.
I long for my old G.E. October 16, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The RCA Super Radio is a great disapointment. Compared to my old G.E.Super Radio this one is a real disapointment. The tuneing is way off. The wide band sensor is so sensitive it takes forever to tune in a station and it must be done with surgical skill. I can't recommend this product.
Good Radio October 4, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This radio is the real deal. From Western NC, I can receive broadcasts clearly from across the eastern seaboard at night. Philadelphia, New York, and Chicago all come in loud and clear. If you are looking for top notch performance in an affordable package, this is the radio for you. The dial does have a tendency to drift, but for the price, the AM tuning is unbeatable. FM tuning is also good, but if you are looking for the best AM reception, look no further. Update: The tuner drift is becoming increasingly frustrating. It may be worth it to go for a digitally tuned AM (CSW or PR-D5)
