5 out of 5 stars For many years I have owned this pocket radio.   November 2, 2008
For many years I have had this pocket radio. It really works and is indestructible. I have dropped this radio more than a hundred times and it still worked. The only damage was that the bezel popped out and had to be glued back. The female jack for my headphone finally gave up and could only get the left channel so I was delighted to find it was still made and got another from Amazon.

This one is very similar though a tiny bit smaller with updated features. What I like about it is that it really works well in bringing in stations - it uses the cord of the earphone as the antenna . It has a digital tuner, is the size of a deck of cards, so it fits in my shirt pocket and runs on two AA batteries while the rest use AAA so I am not changing batteries often. I use rechargeable batteries.

The updated features are: you can now defeat the automatic shutoff after one hour of running time. There is a battery indicator why is nice is because this radio draws so little power that it runs right up to full drain until it shuts off abruptly. You now have a minute to change batteries without losing memory. There is also a bass boost. It is much easier to program.

5 out of 5 stars WORKS AS ADVERIZED   November 2, 2008
I use it for football games. The sound is good with or without the ear phones. The batteries have lasted through 4 games without showing any drainage. The TV audio even works well and that had no bearing on my purchase.

Does everything I was look for.

5 out of 5 stars Sangean High Performance Radio   October 30, 2008
I purchased this radio after reading a number of positive reviews on various websites. I wanted a radio I could use with noise reduction headphones during my daily commute on the railroad from home to work. Railroad train cars are a steel shell and most radios will not get any decent reception inside the cars unless you have a window seat and you hold the radio next to the window. With this radio I am able to sit on the aisle and listen to numerous stations, both AM and FM on my trip from Connecticut to Manhattan. When I get out of range of the Connecticut stations the New York stations are there. I am very pleased with this radio's performance. Only negative is that although it picks up TV stations 2-13 from NYC well into CT, after Feb. 19, 2009 these stations will disappear when the nation goes to digital TV.

4 out of 5 stars Sangean DT200VX AM/FM/TV Radio   October 28, 2008
Over the years I've bought several of these from CC Radio. I like the lighted dial & battery indicator. The ear 'buds' are terrible! They don't 'stay' in the ears & they are very fragile. My buds broke off after a few uses. The older ear sets were much better!

The forward & back "button" was one piece, I prefer the distinct buttons, especially @ night.

All in all, this is still my favorite pocket radio. This model has been discontinued @ CC Radio & replaced w/ more expensive model. I was very pleased Amazon still offers this excellent radio!

3 out of 5 stars Good radio fair FM   October 15, 2008
This is a decent radio, but I'm afraid I live too far from a good FM source of many FM stations. It does receive more than my Sony however.
