Great for Peace of Mind! April 5, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this because with the coming of Spring, we have plenty of storms. I've been able to go to sleep at night and not worry about staying up to watch the weather on TV. I know if we get any watches or warnings, this radio will keep me up to date. We live right in the corner of three different counties, so we have it set to go off for all three of them. It's a great item for peace of mind.
Mixed bag. April 4, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
First one worked for three days, second one was broken out of the box, third one has worked perfectly. Programming is easy and effective. Has worked well in emergencies. Recommend getting the flashing light attachment for anyone who sleeps hard or is hard of hearing.

RADIO DID NOT AND STILL DOES NOT WORK. I HAVE HAD MIDLAND RADIOS FOR OVER FIFTY YEARS AND THIS IS THE FIRST ONE THAT HAS NOT BEEN EXCELLENT
Hope it works March 21, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I found this radio very easy to set-up and program. I bought it so I wouldn't have to be concerned about a tornado approaching - especially at night. I set it for my immediate county and since there hasn't been any tornadic activity, I can only hope I have set it correctly. If not . . . .
Happy with Purchase March 11, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I had read some reviews that said this product was difficult to set up, but I didn't have a problem at all. I just went to the website to get the codes and punched them right in. No big deal. It is working well and a few nights ago woke me up twice during the night; once for a tornado watch and then for a thunderstorm warning. No home should be without one.
