4 out of 5 stars Sangean AM/FM digital pocket radio   May 24, 2008
This little radio is simply designed so you don't have to refer to the manual over and over. The sound quality is excellent. I have to get used to the ear buds in my ears, and that's not a strike against it, but you can't get too active moving and bending with this because of them. I mainly use this radio when I'm walking/exercising outside and my usual walking buddy is not available.

3 out of 5 stars Not completely satisfied yet   April 19, 2008

FM Sensitivity problem with strong stations. After talking to Tec Support, was told to send it to them for replacement. It should not have this problem. The AM is great and the sound it very good.

5 out of 5 stars Great Little Radio   April 6, 2008

Great little radio, well worth the price. Sound is good, batteries last several hours, easy to tune, love the presets, easy to carry. I use it while I'm walking, and it fits easily in a pocket. It even has pretty good reception inside a multi-story garage...usually only fails in the elevator in a high-rise. I'm not too crazy about the ear buds, but then I don't like them anyway.
I chose this radio because I had a non-digital radio, and it was a bear to change channels, and forget presets. I also have an MP3 player, but I was looking for something a bit cheaper, so if something happened, I wouldn't be out so much money.

2 out of 5 stars nothing to see here   March 27, 2008

My first Sangean radio. Bought it because of reception ratings, but it's no better or worse then any of my mp3 radios or small and large sonys. Didn't get the TV band because next year tv signal will be digital and i'm not sure if tv band will work.

PROS: it works.

CONS:
*price. I only paid $10 and it's worth it, but wouldn't pay more than that.

*design - so 1980's. 1 memory button is too close to headphone jack; memory buttons??? how long does it take to scroll through 5am 10fm stations? it's not 300 tv channels.

*bass boost? with or without DBB it sounds worse than any of my players or compact sony radio.

*headphones don't fit well in the ears.

*NO CLOCK - even the cheapest radios with lcd display have clocks and some even world time and alarms.

*size - can be smaller and slimmer, or at least integrate something like voice recorder ..or a camera (next millenium)

*no clip, no case, white color.

*a speaker would be nice

*reception - am/fm same as any other radio i have, does not pull local am signal any better, indoors or out.

*battery door

This sangean won't be replacing my compact sony. 2 stars because it works.

4 out of 5 stars Good radio but way too small for my taste   March 25, 2008

This Sangean pocket radio, the DT-120, is very popular and has very good tuning and preset capabilities. I especially liked the easy availability of the set of 5 push button presets located on the top of the radio, just like on many car radios. I returned it because its width is way too small for my taste (similar to, but slightly wider than, the popular Sony SRF-M97 am/fm radio).
