The unit is well suited for kitchen application. It provides good sound and has easy to use controls. Shipping was quick and they kept me well informed on the arrival progress from the time the unit was ordered. It was given as a birthday gift, and they are very happy with it.

This is a very good product. Stylish, good sound, small footprint. Perfect for the kitchen. The MP3 input is a nice touch for I-Pod, etc.
This is my second kitchen radio and the Sony is much nicer than the 10 year old GE model it replaced. Now,,, I wish that the reception was a little better. It is not bad, but I would rate it about average compared to other devices I have (the reception is dependant on how the AC power cord is located.) I also wish that it would play MP3 CDs. This is something that is expected in a modern CD player today.

The radio reception for this radio is much better than my previous one. I couldn't receive a weak local station at all before, now I can hear it relatively well. I don't like the time display. It is black numbers illuminated by a green background, very difficult to see clearly from any distance.

I love NPR and could never get good reception in my kitchen with the portable radios I have, though they were "good" radios. I honestly can't believe how great this one sounds! Wonderful clarity,no distortion that I enjoy without interfearing with the tv around the corner. It's easy to tune and looks great. Super easy to install. I taped the enclosed sheet on the shelf, drilled the holes-which aligned perfectly. It took my husband and I about 15 minutes total to install. (You will need someone to hold and someone to put the screws in).

I love this and my friends have been commenting on it as well, saying that the sound is surprisingly good. I have no complaints and recommend it.
