The strap works as advertised. I've had several jobs replacing PC and laptop components and didn't have any issues with static. The only problem in my opinion is the length of the wire. It would be nice if it was at least 4-foot long.

Mine was way too small. Had to go out and buy some velcro to lengthen the band.

I bought this with all my PC parts to feel confidence that nothing will get damage because of static electricity. Wrap it around your wrist and hook it to your computer case in an area not painted.

I have used it three times so far and have not burned out any motherboards, so it seems to work well!
