trash November 29, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This item made its way into the trash can very quickly... The directions were terrible and we couldn't get the dumb thing to work. I guess you get what you pay for and I'll have to spend a little more money to get something that actually works.
Completely useless November 29, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought this and couldn't get it to work at all. Assumed it was me and waited until I could cash in a favor from my favorite IT guru. He confirmed its uselessness. Too late to return it. Stay away.
great little gizmo November 26, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this neat looking gizmo because I was going to run a TV cable back to the bedroom from the living room so I could eliminate another leased satellite box at 4.99 a month in the bedroom. I thought I found a better idea then running the wire back through the downstairs ceiling and I ordered the X-10 video extender which has a built in remote control extender as well. After I fiddled around with the X-10 remote extender for a couple of hours, I could not change anything at all using it. Even though it was sending the video portion back to the bedroom, the remote operation never worked. I got frustrated and decided to hook up this gadget to operate the remote portion and in a couple of minutes it was working perfectly in controlling the receiver in the living room from the bedroom. It's a very powerful transmitter that fits into any remote control that uses one or more of the AA or AAA batteries. Very, very simple. I will now order another one to control a downstairs receiver so I may change music stations from my outside patio so I don't have to run in and out anymore to flip stations.
very pleased customer November 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was a great purchase for me, it works perfectly and i have zero complaints. I positioned the ufo blaster on top of my left tower speaker and placed the rf transmitter in my sattelite remote, it has never missed a button press and i use the remote from two bedrooms away. I didn't even need the infrared extender, the blaster covers the entire room while it sits adjacent to my sattelite reciever. It also keeps a second battery charged inside the ufo, so that you don't have to wait to charge the one in the remote. I've had the first battery in the remote for more than a month and is still going strong. I highly recommend this product.
Works better than expected November 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this remote extender with three extra ir eyes for my A/V equipment which sits in a custom cabinet with a solid door. I installed the extender in 2 min and tried it with the cabinet door closed and it worked perfectly with my cable box, a/v receiver and dvd player WITHOUT THE IR EYES. The IR I guess bounces inside the cabinet and is strong enough to work with all my equipment. You will need extra RF Transmitter batteries for multiple remotes. I purchased a second one for my master bedroom and now can hide the cable box in a lower cabinet. 2 friends have already purchased one for their houses. highly recommend!
