great digital recorder October 18, 2007 crisp sound quality, compact so it's easy to bring everywhere, stores a good amount, and USB built in makes it super convenient to plug in and download to the computer!
Good for college lectures October 17, 2007 I use this in my college lecture courses and it has worked very well. The one thing I don't like is that you can't rewind or fast forward when replaying it unless you use lots of index marks when you are recording. Once I started using the index marks, the recordings were much more user friendly. Using index marks is really easy - you literally just press the idex mark button while it is recording and it places a "virtual tab" in that spot. I use about 10-15 tabs per recording.

I use the WS-100 to record inerviews - approx 15 to 30 min. long. I also purchased the little microphone that plugs into the WS-100. It works great. I use a MAC and have NO issues. I use Microsoft Media Player for the MAC for another app, so I did not have to download it. It is SIMPLE to use, a BIG PLUS.
Works great! September 23, 2007 I use the Olympus WS-100 for recording lectures in my classes. All I have to do is turn it on, hit record and set it down. Picks up the professors voices very well. USB connection extremely convenient for saving recordings on my computer. I own an apple, and as long as you have a player that can play .wma, this recorder should work for you. Very handy, very easy to use, i've recorded about ten hours on one battery and it still shows full strength. Great product, Highly recommended.
Good and easy to use September 21, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The product is very easy to use without much complications. The recorded sound quality is great when we transfer to a computer and listen. However, the only drawback is that when we try to replay the recorded message from the recorder itself, the sound quality is very poor.
