Best Digital Recorder!!! January 18, 2007 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
It is amazing recorder by Panasonic. Good design, nice touch of feeling on body and push button, and quality of recording & playback using inner speaker is fantasitc. I used olympus ws-300m, but comparing this product, ws-300m is so poor digital recorder. It's recording & playback is terrible, and body design and feel is so cheap. I strongly recommend this panasonic ic-recorder for you best one.
BEST "IC" DIGITAL VOICE RECORDER ON THE MARKET January 8, 2007 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
This is by far the best "ic" digital voice recorder currently on the market. The quality is awesome. I went to a conference in an auditorium recently; I sat in the back to test this unit out. The audio was flawlessly audible. If your comparing this to the Olympus VN3100PC, no competition. This unit is ergonomic, durable, records voices sharply and is aesthetically pleasing. I know a previous reviewer gave the product four stars because the speech to text feature of the software was inaccurate (although the text to speech part of the software works fine). True, but all speech to text software is inaccurate, that technology hasn't been perfected yet. If you really need this feature, stay posted with nuance.com, they make the leading "talk into type" software (Dragon Naturally Speaking). Panasonic has a history for making quality "ic" recorders. I've owned the RRQR240 in the past and at one point that was the leading voice recorder. Nothing has changed; they still lead and beat any other "ic" digital voice recorder out there today.
It's ok but... August 22, 2006 I really like this so far. It's small, has great sound, more than enough storage space, and has some modes. My one problem is that I can't get the software to translate my words on to text accurately. That was the main reason that I bought this particular product...hopefully I'll figure out how to make it translate better.
Great IC recorder with voice editing and text feature August 14, 2006 32 out of 33 found this review helpful
I received this Panasonic IC recorder with USB terminal on 8/11/06. I am a happy and pround owner of this IC recorder. This is the most advanced IC recorder I could have found at this price range of $53 to $60. My research paid off. It came with a detailed instruction manual, USB terminal, and voice editing software CD-ROM. This voice editing software can transform voice recording to text messages and can translate English to Spanish, German, Italian, and French and vice versa.
It is very small and light. It is so amazing that this small device can record lecture and speech up to 66 hours and 50 minutes.
With an external audio cable, you can record the contents to a cassette player, MD player, and etc, and vice versa. This IC recorder is highly recommended for technology savvy who loves to attend and to record lectures and seminars.
Another surprise was this IC recorder is made in Japan, at Panasonics factory in Osaka. These days, it's very rare to find made in Japan electronics products although they bare Japanese brands.
