Not sure if you've had the chance to use the VN-4100 which offers up to 144 hours of amazing recording time. Well I have and it was so good I purchased two. Now I'm not telling you to go and do that but if you're speaking as much as I am everyday you might want to consider it. This sleek body is well designed with everything you need right on the front...Stop, record, erase, ffwd, rewind...this baby does it all except think...now that part is up to you. But if you want to be innovative give me a call and we will mix it up. As a matter of fact I'm using this technology to aid me with the recording of my debut single. It's reliable, durable with a wonderful smart technology that allows you to revoltionize how you transfer your recordings after you've recorded. Most recorders won't allow you to do this but this one let's you change the folders where you originally recorded stuff. I have found this to be one of the neatest features on the whole digital recording scene. So if you want to try this out order it and if you don't you can't blame it on me. Is there anything I can do for you?

I probably ordered the VN-4100PC too, but the VN-4100 does what I need it to do, so I have no complaints.
This product is very easy to use, durable, and reliable. I had to use 8 of these products to match vehicle license plates for a traffic study and they did exactly as I wanted them to do. Voice clarity is good, even over the loud sounds of cars and trucks passing by.

I called Olympus to help me figure out which recorder would suit me best, and this is the one recommended to me. I use it to record piano practices. The sound is as clear or maybe a little clearer than my old Sony tape recorder I used for lectures in school, of course the mic is not very directed; it picks up everything, a/c noise, fans, there is a good bit of static in the upper end. I'm not sure the sound and recording quality is better than than the Olympus model with the mp3 player, but I was told by Olympus rep it's better. Controls are easy to figure out. Haven't used the PC part of it yet, I probably won't so I don't know how that works. I bought mine when Amazon offered it directly, and paid a lot less and got free shipping. I wouldn't recommend it for any type of quality recording, but for school, notes to self, etc it's fine.
