Excellent purchase on Olympus VN4100 Digital Voice Recorder August 9, 2008
This is a wonderful purchase and very easy to operate. Olympus VN4100 Digital Voice Recorder is extremely light and small. It's not as difficult to use as some of the reviews made it out to be. I only glanced at the instructions and I was on my merry way to recording.

Handy little recorder. Good for loading into a laptop where you can do the Line-In easier. It does do a decent recording.
 Fine Digital Voice Recorder for interviews June 13, 2008
After some research and some hands on shopping, I chose the Olympus VN4100. Simple controls for interview work and it does a good job in small group meetings (with a noise-cancel mike). Quality is the usual excellent type from Olympus. Limited capabilities for serious transcribing if you need a lot of go-back, but for a budget item, this is nice equipment.

I highly recommend this digital recorder for everyone! I've had it for about 3 months & it's exceeded my expectations by far. VERY user friendly with easy controls, fits in my pocket better than my cell phone, durable, and has a lot of memory to hold lots of recordings! It's a must for everyone...professionals, students,& great to keep with you at all times for recording things to do, reminders, etc.
