| Customer Reviews:
Great Customer Service April 11, 2008 There are very few speaker options for the Zune and this is the best speaker system that I have been able to find for the Zune. It was a Christmas present for my wife and we have been very pleased with it.
We did encounter an issue with it however. We noticed that when we left it on the dock, the battery was dead whenever we went back to listen to it. Clearly the Octavio was not charging the Zune. We had to plug it into the computer to charge the Zune before we could plug it into the Octavio.
I contacted VAF's customer support by email and they always responded to me quickly. They did ask me to check a number of things which I tried to no avail. Once they agreed that there was not much else we could do, they sent me a new unit in ONE day. Wow! I was very surprised to get a replacement so quickly. Even better was the fact that they also sent a prepaid UPS return label so I could send back the defective unit.
I setup the new one and viola, it works! The charging symbol appears when the Zune is plugged into the dock. Now this system is perfect and thank you VAF for your great customer support!
Easy to use, but lousy documentation March 29, 2008 This is a great box for Zune. Powerful, and elegant. But the manual is bad, specifically referring to parts of the system without explaining where they are.
Best Dock Available for the Zune March 10, 2008 The VAF Octavio is the be all end all to Zune listening. There is no distortion and it doubles as a surround sound system for your TV. This is one sturdy unit and the magnets are really strong in the speakers (so dont set it on top of your TV). I would give the VAF dock a 10 out of 10. I have been very pleased with my unit.
Best of the 'all in one' iPod stereos March 7, 2008 I recently heard the Octavio at my local Apple store and it blew the other 10 systems on display out of the water in terms of clarity, power, sound stage and ability to handle the demands of heavy rock and classical test tracks that I'd brought along on my iPod nano. The build quality and components appear to be of a high-end audio standard. I have not experienced any of the issues with sound loss that some others seem to have mentioned (perhaps the new iPod/Zune version has been improved?). I originally bought the Bose Soundock which sounds unacceptably tinny and under powered compared to the Octavio and the Bose has now been relegated to the bedroom.
Great Sound! February 18, 2008 You can connect to devices such as games or watching movies in dvd.. so if you have a Zune and also you want a really good sound while watching movies or playing games this is your choice.
Despite the remote stop working after 3 months, im happy with this and that's why i give 4 stars,.. you can use de zune keypad anyway but is a little bit complicated, i'll search for electronic firmware on the website to fix it..
