Works Great with iPhone, small issue with initial sync though. November 24, 2008 Overall, this is a great product and works very well. My family has bought them as well and 2 out of 4 didn't sync the iPhone address book on the initial sync... Since i'm the one that hooked them all up I can't figure out why. On the 2 that didn't take the address book transfer on the first shot I am planning on resetting the blueAne and trying it again but I haven't had the time. Even with the address book not synced it still announces your incoming phone number when you receive a call.
A great solution to the California hands free law. November 24, 2008 I bought three of these for some of our salesmen to use, and they all love this product. So far this is the best solution to the California hands free law we have found. Our salesmen use these out in the field and I can hear them very clearly when they call in their orders. They did say that the voice answer sometimes does not pick up, put they only need to push the button to answer a call. Blueant Supertooth 3 Bluetooth Speaker
Speech Recognition November 24, 2008 Set up was easy and product linked to phone easily. Major problem with unit, it does not recognize names when you try to do a voice call. Other units that I have had could voice dial correctly so I know its not a problem with diction. Sound is acceptable but lack of the ability to make voice calls limits this unit to a receiver only for all practical purposes.
Good Sound but a few little problems November 18, 2008 My main concern with a handsfree device was good sound and the Blue Ant has it. People on the other end sometimes don't even know that I am on a speakerphone and the speaker itself goes loud enough so I can hear it well even on the highway. When I had some trouble pairing multiple phones, customer service was courteous and helpful. It comes with a car and a house charger, the battery has a good life and the product clearly announces pertinent information like whether it is connected and if it needs a charge.
That said, the product says it does voice calling and voice activating answering - neither of which work - although I didn't care so much because you can answer by pushing the button easily enough. The one thing that did bother me, however, is that although it will pair with multiple phones - it will never connect with the second phone even when the first is turned off. The only way to make it switch phones is to do this neverending series of turning the phone and the blueant off and on and make it go back to the setup and eventually you hit the right combination to make it switch. So, in summary - a good speakerphone if it is only your phone you are interested in and you don't care about voice activation.
Publisher November 17, 2008 Better that expected. Like that I can take it with me when I travel and use in rental cars. Also visiting the family over the hoildays and can will take with me. Great reception. Don't forget to take the charger.
