This was a gift for my husband, and he loves it. The sound is excellent. He hasn't tried any of the recording features yet, but I hear him playing music in his office a lot more now. My only distress in the transaction was coming home to find it had been delivered and was setting in the driveway near our side door. It was a huge box, clearly marked with a printed picture of the boombox that was inside of it. The tape on the box seemed original, but was weak and torn. I live in a suburb of Cleveland, and I feel very lucky that it was still sitting there. Ususally when I order things from Amazon, it comes in a box marked as Amazon.com, and not as the product that is inside the box.

Everything works great with this boombox nothing wrong and the sound with bass works great. Plays great quality with cd's and I love using the remote I could just push the power button and my favorite radio station is automatic.
