Not worth the box it came in July 5, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This thing is worthless!!! It's not loud at all. The CD player barely plays CD's. At first we thought it was computer burned CD's (which played on our other players), then it would play store bought CD's a for a few seconds & then quit playing IF they read at all. The reception is BAD. We barely get any stations.
Like the title says, this thing isn't even worth the box it came in!!!
Best jobsite radio out there June 3, 2008 Great sound from this work radio, and the details like the o-ring around the CD player door, not mention cd-r and MP3 cd play back and 40 sec. skip protection. Did I mention the sound? The GFCI's was the selling point for me. One of the few that still charges batteries. I also have Ridged tools and was considering there new radio but they don't charge the Batts. and I'm not into NASCAR. Its a little more in price then most of the others but well worth the extra$. Did I mention how great it sounds? I'm impressed and you will be too. But Bosch tools are impressive and they thought this radio out like there tools, just waiting for lithium ion batteries.
Bosch Garage Boom Box May 2, 2008 Checked around and compared like items . Needed a radio/CD player for garage that got better reception than the little alram clock I'd been using for years. I trusted the quality of Bosch and took a chance thru Amazon because of the low price. Box arrived in good shape and upon opening found all to be in good condition. Took it to garage and cranked her up thru various AM & FM stations. I was amazed at the strength of signal and crisp sound I evoked from the built in "equalizer" which is really a series of slight changes in sound... Rock, Stadium, Concert Hall, etc. Over all I'm pleased with my choice. Would buy it again.
What a product! April 12, 2008 I have been a Ridgid man for a long time but when Ridgid released their new job site radio without the capability of charging batteries I felt I had to at least look around at other offerings. The PB10-CD was by far the item to buy. AM/FM, CD, 4 GFI outlets, ability to run off of and charge batteries, remote control and overall one tough unit. Amazon offered it at a great price and i bought it. The sound is great, it's rugged and for what it's worth it even looks great. I don't often send a company a review but in this case I wrote to Bosch and praised them for a well thought out design. You can't go wrong with this unit.
great radio April 4, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The more I use it the more I like it. Setting all the controls up takes some getting used to, once you know all the buttons and adjustments it's great. The reception is very good in all bands. The CD plays great and doesn't skip. The remote is nice. I had the Dewalt and there is no comparison. The guys on the job all said what about the battery, now you don't have a spare. I said I have a radio with a 18Volt battery which does not get removed. I have chargers that I plug in the GFI outlet and charge battery's with. I said this is a radio that happens to have a charger. The Dewalt is a charger that has a radio attached. What I'm saying is they designed a radio around there charger rather than the other way. If you want a job site radio get this one!
