I like this item, fits in all my OLD Navy jeans, easy to carry, the extra battery is a plus. the only thing I see not so great is the fact that it does not display the name of the songs, like other MP3 players... If you are thinking about it... I would ahve to say it is worth it!
Return policy March 21, 2006 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
I did not keep the item I ordered. It was everything it was advertised as but it did not suit my intended purpose. I did however want to thank Amazon for their easy return policy. It was easy, the labels were easy to access and I had no trouble in returning the item. Minus the shipping charge to return it, getting credit for the returned item was simplified and quick. I use Amazon alot and will continue to do so.
great sound and great price March 17, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I considered buying an iPod for a while, but then I thought at the way I listen to music on my portable devices on the street, and realized that I didn't need having absolutely all my music all the time with me. What's more, I think it's better to have a cheap device that sounds good if I was going to take it out and maybe loose it or break it or something. I commute on public transport a lot, and this CD player is just perfect for the job. Its very light, very thin, and actually not too big; and although it will have problems to fit in any pocket given that it has to be bigger than a CD itself, I can carry it in my backpack, and the remote is just great for that. I also carry a couple of MP3 CDs I made, and I can get all the music I actually want to listen, and not anything else. On the other hand, it's much better than a Flash player if you are not taking it to the gym, because you can choose what to play in it without having to plug it into a PC and download songs to it, if you have your MP3 CDs previously burned. This is especially obvious when I listen to music on the bed before going to sleep. I bought this one with the Sony EX51 in-ear earphones, and they are just perfect for this CD player. The sound quality is great, it was weird to get used to the earphones at first, but after that, they were perfect. The sound output of this CD player is much better than my sister's Sony CD player, it never skips, and battery life is great. To sum up, for a forth of the price of an iPod, I got a much more better sounding and versatile portable audio device in my opinion. Oh, by the way, the display on the remote does not show ID3 tag information on MP3 files, so if you need that, this CD player may not be the right one for you.
MP3 player March 7, 2006 1 out of 12 found this review helpful
I bought this for a grand daughter so I have no idea as to its rating except that it plays the MP3 CD I bought for her to use it with.
Panasonic's D-Sound technology is not just hype! November 10, 2005 19 out of 19 found this review helpful
Overview: Fantastic sound from a small device. Very light - weighs about the same as 2 CD cases. No vibration when CD is playing. I bought this player over the Sony models because this featured 3D-stereo and mp3 remastering (upsampling), and it is worth it! Made of plastic, however the design shows quality as all the parts and buttons fit together precisely. Buy this for $44 and you will not regret it.
Pros: Using high-end Sony Studio MDR 7506 headphones -- Fantastic sound. Deep, but clean bass on Extra bass setting. Clear highs and a very balanced and natural uncolored sound quality. 3D-stereo setting gives a natural spaciousness without sounding artificial. Sounds like a high-end Solid State stereo system when playing regular CD's. Sounds like a high-end Tube/Solid State stereo system when playing mp3s on the remastering (upsampling) setting. Recognizes mp3 folders. Mp3 remastering (upsampling) feature makes even low bit-rate songs sound practically like the original CD recording.
Cons: Will fast forward/rewind through a song on a regular CD, but will not fast forward/rewind through a song in mp3 format. (If you will need to fast forward/rewind through long files, be sure to burn them to disc as a regular audio CD, and not mp3). Turning on the mp3 remastering (upsampling) feature lowers the battery life somewhat. ID3 mp3 tagging does not seem to be implemented on this model CD player, as mp3's did not show the song or artist name.
