Good product - not disappointed May 9, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I researched this TV and read reviews before I bought one for my home office desk. I needed a small TV to monitor news, weather, and favorite programs while I work. I needed it to easily connect to my cable service.
It didn't disappoint. It works well, has a great picture, is easy to use (except for the remote control, see below). Sound is clear but understandably tinny for small device such as this. It somes with AV cable and a cable TV connector adapter (a very nice feature). Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase.
I gave the product a 5 rating but it should be about 4.5 because there are some small negatives. First, the remote control and menu system are not easy to use. It's very unintuitive and the abbreviated users manual doesn't help much. It takes some trial and error to figure it out. Second, the remote doesn't have a power on/off button which is inconvenient because the on/off slide switch on the side of the TV is somewhat difficult to access and use. Third, the blue power-on indicator light on the front of the TV is very, very bright and is almost blinding if you're viewing from directly in front of the screen. Forth, the stand on the back is adjustable but bearly able to hold a set position. I had to secure it with a metal clip to make it hold in place.

The tv is all that it was promised and serves it's purpose. I think the picture is good and the sound is as good as it could be on such a small set.
Lousy Reception April 20, 2007 I wish I'd flushed my $89.99 down the toilet instead of ordering this TV and waiting 6 weeks for it to arrive. The end-result would have been the same, only with less frustration and disappointment. I bought this TV to replace my 22-year-old portable B&W kitchen TV, which got excellent reception --crisp images and clear sound-- on every (about a dozen)station in the area. The Coby gets nothing but static on ALL of the VHF and 2 of the UHF stations, and so-so reception on the remaining UHF stations. We don't live in a remote area, and the old TV had no problem with reception: I can only surmise the Coby is junk.
5" TV April 11, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Picture is very good, perfect size, however the sound is not that great. I bought it for my kitchen area (and for when the power goes out, which for some reason happens a lot here in the rural west) it serves it purpose just fine.

Perfect travel tv and indoor use. Great for the bathroom when you don't want to miss anything. I love the antenna/source unput feature and the remote control. The TFT screen is much bettter than the other portable tv's I have seen and used before. It's slim design makes it a perfect traveling compagnion.
